Livia’s Low Carb Cauliflower Pizza Crust Recipe
Preheat oven @ 350 degrees
1 bag of cauliflower rice
1 cup of shredded cheese of your choice (I prefer mozzarella)
1 Tbsp of herbs of your choice can be dried or fresh
I egg beaten
1/2 chopped onion
Brain octane (Bulletproof MCT Coconut Oil), coconut or avocado oil. These oils can be heated at high temperatures
2Tbs of grass-fed butter (Kerrygold unsalted butter in silver wrapper is a good choice and easy to find)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Heat oil in skillet and saute’ onions until clear, then add butter and cauliflower to pan. Cook for 15-20 mins on medium heat until cauliflower is soft. Drain any liquid that forms.
Place in a bowl to cool. Then add cheese, herbs, and a pastured egg and mix together. Ingredients should bind together. If not bound enough, you can always add a couple of tablespoons of coconut flour.
Form mixture into a ball and place on a pizza stone in the form of a round disc. You can preheat stone but not necessary.
Place in oven and bake 20 minutes or until it starts to brown.
Once done top with your favorite toppings then place back in oven for 10 minutes or until cheese topping is melted.
